Bishop Kasomo Daniel
Rt.Rev.Prof. Kasomo Daniel W holds an earned doctorate degree in Religious Studies from Catholic University of Eastern Africa in Nairobi Kenya. He also holds PhD in Clinical Psychology from USA. He is an accomplished scholar with proven track record in formulating and managing academic programs and on research and publication. He has to date (2020)20 years’ experience in management and leadership positions in teaching, research, publication and counselling at both Public and Private Universities in Kenya.
Prof. Kasomo was employed by the Catholic University of Eastern Africa upon graduation in 2000 as an assistant Lecturer in the Department of Religious Studies. Since then he has risen through the ranks to positions of Lecturer (2003) in Catholic University, Egerton University and Laikipia University, Senior Lecturer (2009 in Maseno University), Associate Professor (2013 in Maseno University) and now ready to apply to be promoted Professor any time from (2020). Prof. Kasomo is currently serving as Associate Professor of Maseno University. Previously he served as the Chairman of Department of Religious Studies in the Catholic University of Eastern Africa 2000-2005, Founder and Head of Career Development and Counselling Centre in Laikipia University, He has served as the Dean of Students Egerton University Nakuru town Campus.
Prof. Kasomo has been actively engaged in various societal leadership roles including serving as the Chairman, Board of Management, Good shepherd Girls Secondary School Chairman Board of Management, Additionally, he has served as a Member of the post-traumatic stress disorder in Egerton University after 2007 post-election violence. Since 2009 he is a Bishop of the Society of St. Peter and Paul registered by government of Kenya as Diocese of Charismatic Church of Christ International. The Diocese houses priests working in the Diocese, Sisters, brothers and a Diocesan Seminary Known as St. Peter and Paul Senior Seminary for training future priests. It also houses a private dispensary and a private boarding School. Other institutions are on the way to make the Diocese a world class Diocese in the service and advancement of humanity and salvation of souls.
Prof. Kasomo is an accomplished scholar with a track record in formulating and managing academic programs and supervising and mentoring Postgraduate students. He has successfully supervised and mentored PhD Students and Master’s students to completion. He has served as a member of Senate since 2000 in Catholic University of Eastern Africa.
Prof. Kasomo’s academic and research career has been exemplary as demonstrated by several publications in peer review journals. To date he has co-authored several journal and conference publications. The papers have been published in prestigious and high-impact factor journals. He has a cumulative 20 years of research and teaching experience at various institutions

Prof. Kasomo has a D.Sc (honoris causa) from USA. He has a Diplomate in Traumatology from USA,and as Bishop he was awarded Doctor of Divinity (DD) because of exemplary service to humanity. He is a private Clinical Psychologist Consultant. He has published extensively locally and internationally in areas of Psychology, Religious Studies and Pastoral counselling.
